About

I study and model the interaction of the particle beam with the accelerating system in circular colliders. I evaluate operational parameters/algorithms, possible upgrades, and future limitations through theoretical models and numeric simulations of this interaction.

I have employed these techniques and associated tools at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) and the Super Proton Synchrotron (SPS) at CERN, the Positron-Electron Project (PEP-II), the Stanford Positron Electron Accelerating Ring (SPEAR), and the proposed PEP-X light source at the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center (SLAC, and elsewhere.

I am currently working on the present LHC operation, on estimates for the High-Luminosity LHC, and on the SPS upgrades.

If you'd like to find out more information please contact me using my email address.

Projects

HiLumi LHC Crab Cavity Simulations
Using PyHEADTAIL, we are simulating the effects of different noise distributions imposed by Crab Cavities on the emittance rate of proton beams in the Large Hadron Collider (LHC).

SPS Feedback System Simulations
We are using a SimuLink model in MatLab to simulate the accelerator feedback system in the Super Proton Synchrotron (SPS).
