Physics and Astronomy Education
Investigate how people learn physics and astronomy.
Several Cal Poly physics faculty are active in physics and astronomy education research. We explore how students learn and study methods that promote better understanding of physics and astronomy. We are also involved in pursuing the use of citizen science projects to enhance student engagement and learning.

Teacher Education
Be a change agent! Become a high-school physics teacher.
Cal Poly has many opportunities for you to try teaching: tutor high school students, teach science in after-school programs, and teach visiting elementary and middle-school students, to name a few. More information is available on the CESAME homepage.
