About
I study the connections between atmospheric electricity and nuclear physics, focusing on how lightning can produce bursts of high-energy radiation, sometimes called “dark lightning.” My work combines field measurements, computational modeling, and instrument development. I also value teaching and mentoring, and I work to create opportunities for students to experience physics through authentic research. Students interested in learning more are encouraged to contact me or stop by my office.
