Maryam Mohammadpour is a physical oceanographer whose work focuses on coastal processes, tsunami modeling, and sea-level rise impacts. She integrates field observations, numerical modeling, and GIS-based analysis to understand how ocean dynamics shape coastal environments. At Cal Maritime, she teaches courses in oceanography, environmental sustainability, GIS, and MATLAB programming, engaging students in hands-on projects that bridge science and real-world applications.
