About

I was born and brought up in Kerala, in the southern part of India, which is famous for its beautiful mountain ghats, beaches, and lakes. In fact, it’s a lot like California. Before joining Cal Poly, I served as a visiting assistant professor at Austin College, Sherman, Texas. I completed my Ph.D. at the University of Texas at Dallas and hold a BS-MS in Physics from the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Kolkata. Coming from Dallas, I’m really excited to be around 4 national parks and the Pacific Coast. I also love conversations about science, movies, and everything else happening in the world, especially after solving a problem together during office hours.

My research lies at the intersection of astrophysics, cosmology, and computational physics, where I use large-scale numerical simulations and computational techniques to study galaxy clusters, dark matter, and dynamics of massive astrophysical objects. I use tools like gravitational lensing to probe matter distributions and dark matter properties, alongside multi-wavelength modeling of early-universe systems. Feel free to reach out through email or stop by my office for a chat!
